Privacy Policy

The short version: Your step counts, unlock history, and all personal data stay on your device. We do not operate servers and do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information. The only third-party services are Google AdMob (ads) and Google Play Billing (purchases).

Phone Diet is a screen-time management app developed by AM3R GROUP. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

All of the following data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us or any server we operate:

Step count: daily steps recorded from your device's built-in step sensor.
Minutes balance: earned, spent, and remaining screen-time minutes.
Unlock history: a log of when the phone was unlocked and for how long.
Password: stored as a one-way SHA-256 hash. We cannot read or recover your password.
Preferences: difficulty mode, sound/vibration settings, premium status.

Cloud backup is disabled by default. Your data is not synced across devices.

2. Accessibility Service

Phone Diet uses an Android Accessibility Service to enforce screen-time limits. The service:

Detects which app is in the foreground to determine whether it should be blocked.
Prevents unauthorized uninstall or disabling of the app.

The Accessibility Service does NOT:

Read the content of your messages, emails, or conversations.
Record or capture screenshots.
Access your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or files.
Track or log which specific apps you use.

3. Device Admin Permission

The app registers as a Device Administrator solely to prevent uninstall without entering your password. This permission does not grant the app access to your data, accounts, or device settings.

4. Sensors

We access the device step-counter sensor (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION permission) to count your daily steps. Step data is processed and stored entirely on your device.

5. Third-Party Services

Google AdMob

The free version displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
Device model and operating system version
General location (derived from IP address)

This data is collected by Google, not by us. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Premium users see no ads and no ad-related data is collected.

Google Play Billing

If you purchase a premium subscription or lifetime unlock, the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play. We receive only a purchase token to verify your premium status. We do not process or store payment information.

6. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

Names, email addresses, or account information
Location data
Contacts, call logs, or messages
Photos, files, or media
Browsing history
Analytics or usage telemetry

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone. The only data that leaves your device goes to Google through AdMob (ads) and Google Play Billing (purchases), as described above.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

All data is stored on your device. To delete all app data, uninstall Phone Diet or clear its data from Android Settings. There is no server-side data to request deletion of.

9. Children's Privacy

Phone Diet is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us so we can assist.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
