PAA Bootcamp Terms of Use

The agreement between you and Am3rgroup for using the PAA Bootcamp app. The key points are shown in the app before you start; this page is the full version, and both are part of the same agreement.

Effective: 29 September 2026 Last updated: 2 October 2026 App: PAA Bootcamp (com.AMIRGROUP.paabootcamp) Version française Versión en español

1Who we are and this agreement

PAA Bootcamp ("the app") is provided by Am3rgroup, 1052 St. Laurent Blvd, Unit 3, Ottawa, Ontario K1K 3B4, Canada ("we", "us", "our"). These terms are an agreement between you and us. You accept them by ticking the box on the app's terms page, and by using the app.

If you do not agree, do not use the app. You can uninstall it at any time, and the app never prevents or delays that.

2Who can use the app

3What the app does

The app blocks apps you choose to restrict and lets you unlock them with screen-time minutes you earn by walking and by answering trivia. Minutes you have banked can instead be given up for points toward The Walk competition, which destroys them. Blocking uses the Android accessibility service, which you enable yourself and can switch off at any time in Android settings. The app's permission screens and our Privacy Policy explain what that service can and cannot see.

We may improve, change or remove features, including the rates at which steps and trivia earn minutes and points, to keep the app working and fair.

4Your licence, and what stays ours

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these terms and Google Play's terms. The app, its design, text, code, trivia questions we wrote and the PAA Bootcamp name and marks belong to us or our licensors. Third-party images in the app are used under their own licences, which the app lists in Settings, Image credits.

5Fair play and acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may correct or remove minutes and points we reasonably believe were not genuinely earned, and may exclude anyone who breaks this section from a competition.

6Health and safety

Walking and other physical activity carry risk, and you take part at your own risk. Speak to a doctor first if you have a health condition or have not been active in a while, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. Stay aware of your surroundings: never use the app while driving, and never walk into traffic or anywhere unsafe to earn minutes or points. Nothing in the app is medical advice, and the app is not a medical device.

7Blocking is a self-control aid, not a safety device

Blocking can be bypassed, can fail, and can be switched off by you. Do not rely on it anywhere a failure would matter. The phone dialer, messages and contacts are never blocked, and neither are the Android settings screens where the service is switched off.

8Minutes, points, streaks and coins

9The Walk competition

The Walk is free to enter. No purchase or subscription is needed to take part or to win, and paying for ad removal does not improve your chances.

10Advertising

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob, including banners, rewarded ads you choose to watch, an ad when you open the app, and one after an emergency unlock. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads. How ad data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

11The ad-removal subscription

12Google and other third-party services

The app relies on Google services: Google Play (download and billing), AdMob (ads), Health Connect (an optional step source) and ML Kit (the code scanner used to move to a new phone). Your use of them is also governed by Google's terms. We are not responsible for services we do not control.

13Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what the app processes and where it goes. We run no server of our own, and your progress stays on your phone.

14No guarantee

To the maximum extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will count every step or block every app. This does not affect any guarantee the law gives consumers that cannot be excluded.

15Limits of responsibility

To the maximum extent the law allows, Am3rgroup and the people who make PAA Bootcamp are not responsible for any injury, illness, loss or damage arising from your use of the app or from taking part in a competition, including lost minutes, points or streaks. Where the law does not allow us to exclude responsibility entirely, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $50 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under consumer protection laws that apply to you. If you live in Quebec, nothing here excludes or limits our liability for bodily or moral injury, or for our own acts, where the Civil Code of Québec or the Consumer Protection Act does not allow it.

16Ending this agreement

You can end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app; cancel any subscription in Google Play as well. We may stop offering the app, or exclude someone who breaks section 5 from competitions. Sections 8, 14, 15, 18 and 20 continue after the agreement ends.

17Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies to you, and where the law requires it we will ask you to accept the new terms. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they last changed.

18Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes may be brought in the courts of Ontario.

If you are a consumer, you keep every protection the mandatory law of the place where you live gives you, including the right to bring a claim in your local courts, and nothing in this section takes those away. In particular, residents of Quebec keep the protection of Quebec law and the jurisdiction of Quebec courts, and residents of the European Union and the United Kingdom keep their statutory consumer rights.

We would rather sort out a problem directly: please email us first.

19Language

These terms are available in French and in English, and the French version is offered first on the app's terms page. Both versions are equally authoritative. Les présentes conditions sont offertes en français et en anglais, et la version française est présentée en premier dans l'application. Les deux versions ont la même valeur. A Spanish translation is also offered for convenience. If it differs from the English version, the English version applies.
